Homestay placement: Your choice for a host family may depend on your taste and preferences. BAHOS does not guarantee that this will
be met and it depends purely on availability. However we shall tirelessly make effort to match participants to their preferred criteria. You will be issued with a homestay contract after we have received your application for BAHOS services.

Accommodation: This will be made available to our esteem clients through our elaborate English speaking host families across Kenya and beyond. Clients will choose either Urban or rural homes for all homestay programs including and not limited to cultural tourism, student exchange and volunteer, while for homestay safaris this will depend on your itinerary. It’s based on two persons sharing a twin room. Where possible single rooms with private bath can be provide at an additional cost however this can not be guaranteed. Hotels and lodges are named as an indication of category and rooms may be reserved at similar hotels/lodges.
- Alterations: BAHOS reserves the right to change the homestay family and
accept or decline participant’s application before an individual arrives. - Ground rules: Tourist, students and volunteers are expected to respect and adhere to host family’s ground rules. Please ensure that you seek permission before you bring visitors to the host family. You can help with house hold chores but this is not a must and depends on the arrangement you will have with your host family.

Transportation: The Company shall provide transport at a competitive rate for all the programs. Depending on the route and the number of clients coming for safari, minibuses, land cruisers/rovers or coaches will be provided. English speaking driver/guides are provided. Boma Africa reserves the right to employ subcontractors if need arises.
- Reservations:
A non refundable placement fee is paid in full prior to arrival and serves as booking for all programs except tour and safaris. For tour and safaris a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking and the balance is paid on arrival. However for homestay safari package the balance is paid 6 weeks before arrival in Kenya. All bookings are quoted in US dollars or its equivalent in other convertible currency and monies should be wired to our account in Nairobi.
- Cancellation: in the event of cancellation, any money paid will be less the cost of fees levied by hotels or food expenses. The cancellation fees shall be applied as follows: a) within 21 to 9 days before the start of safari, a fee of 30% of the total cost of the safari shall apply. b) Within the period of 8 days before the start of the safari, a fee of 50% shall apply. c) Within 5 days before the start of safari, a fee of 100% of the total cost of safari.

Alteration to safari: The Company reserves the right to alter any
arrangements of the route or cancel the operation of the scheduled tour should conditions dictate it. BAHOS reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour at any time, in which case an equitable amount of money will be refunded.

Rates: Prices are quoted at the time of publication and BAHOS reserves the right to change them without notice. This includes expenses arising from the use of vehicles and the services of our tour guide cum drivers as per itinerary meals on safari and home stay. It also includes entrance fee to game reserves and the national parks.

Liability: Boma Africa Homestay and Safaris applies all reasonable checks to ensure that homestay partners and those that are involved in preparation and provision of homestay or safari maintain appropriate standard. The company and its agent’s acts only as agent to customers in all matters relating to homestay, hotel/lodges accommodation, tours and travel, transport ect, and therefore cannot be held responsible for injury, delays, loss or damage to baggage as a result whether directly or indirectly, or any matter arising outside the company’s control. The company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the prevailing laws of the country where homestay or safari takes place and not in the other country. Travel poses risk; all our clients are advised to take adequate travel insurance cover for personal accident and medical expenses. The company shall not be responsible to any illness, injury, delays loss or damage from any cause whatsoever.
