 BAHOS volunteer program offer people from all over the world a unique opportunity to interact with African cultures by inspiring individuals and communities. The program is open and not limited to international students, philanthropists, organizations, individuals and groups.
The service includes and not limited to manpower and technical support, material and financial support, placements and attachments to different projects sites across Kenya.
Volunteers are placed in communities who have identified challenges in certain areas of development and are willing to solve some of their problems by requiring your input whether skilled or otherwise. You will be attached to community based organizations, non-for-profit organizations, children orphanages, schools, health facilities, construction projects etc who we are currently in partnership. The program duration is 2-12 weeks and runs through out the year. In order for us to prepare adequately for your accommodation and volunteer placement, it is advisable to notify BAHOS 9 weeks before your arrival date. If you are willing to make a difference by touching the less privileged in our country, you are welcome to participate in our sustainable tourism program. Likewise if you are in an organization that is keen at uplifting people’s lives we will be happy to partner with you. Volunteers with specific skills in capacity building specializing in areas such as shelter and food security, health, water and sanitation are encouraged to apply. We believe that communities will benefit immensely through transfer of skills and knowledge.
